The Story
At a Fortune 50 global retailer, the existing Disaster Recovery (DR) posture was historically reactive. Systems were complex, and manual recovery processes were prone to human error, creating a "Maturity Gap" between our business needs and our actual recovery capabilities. I championed a strategic shift to DR, starting with an initiative to implement a Unified Certification Process, which mandated that any new application must be "DR-Ready" by design before moving to production.
