Architecting the Future: Enterprise GenAI Strategy

Date

2025

The sudden surge in Generative AI interest created a fragmented landscape of uncoordinated tools. I spearheaded the GenAI Strategy, a comprehensive roadmap designed to centralize and scale AI capabilities across the organization.

I led a specialized task force to define our "North Star" for AI: a unified platform that provides "AI-as-a-Service". We focused on three pillars: Enablement (giving teams the tools they need), Governance (ensuring data privacy and ethical use), and Optimization (managing the massive compute costs associated with Large Language Models). By establishing a "GenAI COE" (Center of Excellence), I ensured that our infrastructure didn't just support today's chat bots but provided the compute and "vector database" foundations for tomorrow's autonomous agents.

Quantifiable Results
Accelerated Time-to-Market: Standardized the onboarding process for AI models, reducing the time for development teams to move from "Idea" to "Sandbox" by providing pre-vetted infrastructure.
Enhanced Security Posture: Eliminated "Shadow AI" risks by providing an enterprise-sanctioned environment that prevents proprietary data from leaking into public models.
Cost Governance: Implemented a "Value-to-Cost" framework to evaluate AI projects, ensuring that high-compute resources are allocated to the highest-impact business problems.
Strategic Roadmap Delivery: Successfully aligned executive leadership on a multi-year investment strategy for GPU clusters and cloud-native AI services.

Social Proof
Inter-departmental Collaboration: "Jennifer’s leadership in defining the GenAI roadmap provided the clarity our engineering teams needed to stop experimenting in silos and start building for scale." — Feedback from Senior Engineering Director.
Executive Vision: The strategy was praised for its balance of aggressive innovation and conservative risk management, establishing a secure "walled garden" for the company's proprietary data.
